Stock Market Bond ETFs

A bond is a debt security that represents a loan made by an investor to a borrower, typically a government or corporation. When you buy a bond, you are essentially lending money to the issuer in exchange for periodic interest payments and the return of the principal amount when the bond matures.

Bonds are sold on an individual basis and traded on the bond market. In order to trade bonds on the stock market, the bonds are packaged together and purchased by Exchange Traded Funds, these ETFs can then be bought and sold by consumers on the stock market.
