If you love your job then you probably want to work for as long as possible. If you do not love your job, you either need to find a new job or build up your passive income in order to quit that horrible job.
If you are like me you have been work for years. I started when I was a teenager and have never stopped. I enjoy working, but it would also be nice to have the option to not work. Or negotiate with my employer for better working terms coming from a position of strength.
There are several money milestones that I have achieved these past few years:
– Fully funded my emergency fund
– Paid off my house
– Funded a few different retirement accounts
I want to take my finances to the next level and am working on doing this by creating monthly passive income through the stock market. There are tons of investments you can buy in the stock market that consistently make monthly payments to you.
Traditional investments like ETFs and Dividend stocks generally pay out every quarter, 3 months at a time. I have many traditional investments in my retirement accounts like 401k and HSA.
I created a separate portfolio for my monthly passive income. These investments are taxed as a regular income, but you can also use the cash for living expenses. The best part is that the payouts are higher and you can reinvest the funds to increase your monthly payouts.
Reinvestment is key.
My dividend progress has not been fast. It has take a lot of time. But it has steadily climbed. Eventually it will become the massive snowball.
Enough chit chat. Let’s get to the investments.

Each of these investments provides income on a monthly basis. The yields vary depending on the risk of the asset.
I prefer to track my monthly income in order to know how much I earn each month in order to save for taxes that I will owe and also to make sure that my investment income is increasing over time. If one or more the assets are no longer performing I adjust the portfolio accordingly.
These are some of my favorite assets, what are some of your favorite monthly income assets?
