Spend It And Forget It Number

Stop arguing with other people about money.

Money should provide security not anxiety or worse arguments.

Remember earlier that you calculated your fixed expenses? Keep that article handy.

There are a lot of purchases, like concert, tickets that I make that are not necessities, but make my life a whole lot better.

Figure out what purchases you love to make: coffee, travel, concerts.

We all have certain things that we really enjoy spending money on.

Figure out roughly how much you spend each money on discretionary spending. Maybe you need to cut that down a little bit.

This is a no judgement zone.

Determine a spending dollar amount, could be $20 or $2000, that you can spend without thinking about it. This amount will not hurt your finances in any way. Spend this money on books or clothing or concerts. Whatever makes you happier.

Anything over your fun number you need to take a moment, maybe talk with your partner or friend and figure out if you really want to spend that money.

Sinking funds are extremely helpful when spending money. Saving money for future event like vacation, wedding, school, concerts, will really cut down on your anxiety around money.

The more you can anticipate the future the more security money will bring you.

This does not eliminate the next for you to go out and work and increase your income or streams of income, but it will put you on a stronger financial foundation.
